Resumo Esta dissertação é uma reflexão sobre a educação cristã comunitária nas comunidades e congregações da Igreja Evangélica Luterana no Chile (IELCH). A pergunta que atravessa toda a pesquisa é como a educação cristã nas comunidades e congregações pode acompanhar os diferentes processos pelos quais passa a fé dos membros ao longo da vida. No primeiro capítulo se descreve e constata os diferentes modelos de educação cristã comunitária na IELCH. Nos capítulos que seguem a teoria dos estágios do desenvolvimento da fé de James W. Fowler e a visão antropológica e metodológica implícitas na proposta pedagógica de Paulo Freire serviram de referências para argumentar a pertinência de uma prática educativa que valoriza a formação permanente dos membros na IELCH. Esta reflexão, levou a autora a sugerir algumas linhas norteadoras para ser consideradas numa possível prática de uma educação cristã permanente no futuro.
Abstract This dissertation is a reflection regarding community Christian education in the congregations and communities of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chile (IELCH). The question, which crosses the entire investigation, is how Christian education in the communities and congregations can accompany the different faith processes through which the members pass in their lifetime. The first chapter describes and shows different models of community Christian education in the IELCH. In the following chapters, the theory of faith development stages of James W. Fowler and the anthropological and methodological vision implicit in the pedagogical proposition of Paulo Freire serve as references in order to argue for the pertinence of an educational practice which values the permanent formation of the members of the IELCH. This reflection led this author to suggest directions which might be considered toward a possible practice of permanent Christian education in the future.
