| Resumo | Una investigación histórica sobre el origen y la formación de la Iglesia Luterana Evangélica Peruana . En el primer capítulo se describe el proceso de desarrollo dentro de la coyntura particular de la sociedad peruana desde la década de 1960 hasta 1990. Se señalan los momentos en que el Perú pasó por un tiempo de grandes transformaciones, iniciandose com una época cubierta de expectativas hasta ir llegando a un tiempo de incertidumbres. Se indica el proceso por el cual el Perú afirma su poryecto moderno como nación. El segundo capítulo se ocupa de los antecedentes de la presencia luterana en el Perú. Desde las primeras tentativas europeas en el siglo XVI y XVII por establecer colonias en América Latina hasta la formación y desarrollo de la Lutheran Church in America y la Iglesia Evangélica Luterana en el Perú. La inmigración europea es un factor clave en la constitución de ambas iglesias. Finalmente el tercer capítulo aborda directamente el origen y formación de la Iglesia Luterana Evangélica Peruana através de las historias de vida de cinco de sus protagonistas. Los orígenes apuntan a los impulsos misioneros en el afán de establecer una Iglesia Luterana en Perú. La experiencia de Equipos Pastorales y la Acción social contribuyen a moldear el perfil de una Iglesia Luterana com sus propias características. El aspecto de la interculturalidad es visto mediante el diálogo constante entre las congregaciones y las comunidades. |
| Abstract | This is a historical investigation on the origins and the development of the Iglesia Luterana Evangélica Peruana (ILEP), the Peruvian Evangelical Lutheran Church. The first chapter describes the process of development of that church within the particular context of Peruvian society since the decade of 1960 until 1990. The moments in which Peru went through a time of major transformations are pointed out, beginning with a time full of expectations and arriving at a time of uncertainty. The process through which Peru affirms its modern project as a nation is described. The second chapter deals with the background of the presence of Lutherans in Peru, from the first attempts made by Europeans to establish colonies in the American continent in the sixteen and seventeen centuries until the constitution and development of the Lutheran Church in America and the Iglesia Evangélica Luterana en Perú, the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Peru. The European immigration is a key factor in the constitution of the both churches. Finally, the third chapter deals directly with the origins and the development of the ILEP by means of the life histories of five its protagonists. The origins are related to the missionary efforts made with a view to the establishment of a Lutheran church in Peru. The experiences of Pastoral Teams and Social Action help to shape the profile of a Lutheran church with its own characteristics. The aspect of "interculturality" is seen through a constantly dialogue between the congregations and the communities. |
