| Resumo |
O objetivo deste estudo é analisar criticamente a concepção de fé apresentada pelo teólogo jesuíta uruguaio Juan Luis Segundo. Para efetuar essa análise, ele está dividido em três partes. A primeira busca descobrir influências recebidas por Segundo durante o processo de desenvolvimento de seu pensamento teológico. Ela descreve algumas idéias de Nicolas Berdiaeff, Karl Rahner, Teilhard de Chardin e Rudolf Bultmann do ponto de vista de suas reformulações por Segundo. O objetivo particular dessa parte é encontrar chaves para compreender a teologia de Segundo. A segunda parte é uma apresentação sistemática da concepção de fé proposta por Segundo. Ela está dividida em três seções: a primeira é dedicada à apresentação formal da fé como parte da natureza humana, a segunda a mostrar elementos específicos que constituem a compreensão de fé religiosa de Segundo e a última a apresentar alguns tópicos centrais da sua reformulação da imagem cristã de Deus enquanto elementos que propõe um conteúdo para a fé. Por fim, a terceira parte deste estudo oferece um contraponto entre a concepção de fé de Segundo e a de Tillich. O objetivo é oferecer uma solução a alguns dos problemas encontrados no pensamento de Segundo com o auxílio de formulações de Tillich. Para alcançar tal objetivo é feita uma análise de vários aspectos do pensamento de Tillich. Nessa análise são examinados elementos da sua ontologia, do seu Método da Correlação, da sua reflexão sobre o Princípio Protestante e de algumas das suas idéias em geral no que se refere à noção de fé. |
| Abstract | The goal of this study is to analyse critically the conception of faith presented by the Uruguayan Jesuit theologian Juan Luis Segundo. In order to conduct such an analysis, the study is divided into three parts. The first one attempts to detect influences received by Segundo during the process of development of his theological thought. It describes some ideas of Nicolas Berdiaeff, Karl Rahner, Teilhard de Chardin and Rudolf Bultmann from the vantage point of their reformulation by Segundo. The particular aim of this part is to find keys for understanding Segundo's theology. The second part is a systematic presentation of Segundo's idea of faith. It is divided into three sections: the first one is dedicated to the formal presentation of faith as a part of human nature; the second one to showing specific elements which make up Segundo's understanding of religious faith; and the final one to eliciting some guidelines from his reformulation of the Christian image of God as elements which provide the content of faith. Finally, the third part of this study counterpoints Segundo's idea of faith and Paul Tillich's. The purpose of this part is to suggest a solution to some of the problems found in Segundo's thought with the aid of Tillich's formulations. In order to attain that solution, an analysis of several aspects of Tillich's thought is carried through. This analysis draws on points from his ontology, from his "Method of Correlation", from his discourse on the "Protestant Principle" and from some of his general ideas regarding the notion of faith. |
