Resumo

O presente trabalho é uma dissertação de caráter histórico sobre a ocupação e colonização do Estado de Rondônia e sobre o acompanhamento da IECLB aos migrantes nesta região. Ele compreende os anos de 1967 a 1987. A delimitação marca a migração dos primeiros luteranos para esse Estado. A delimitação posterior, por sua vez, demarca o ano em que a estrutura eclesiástica dessa região ganha um status semelhante às outras regiões, passa a ser chamada de DERN (Distrito Eclesiástico Regional Noroeste).
A dissertação está dividida em dois capítulos. O primeiro trata sobre o processo migratório brasileiro para a Amazônia, analisando o caso particular dos pomeranos do Espírito Santo. A tese central desse capítulo é: os migrantes são objetos e sujeitos da migração. O segundo capítulo versa sobre o papel assumido pela IECLB nesse Estado. Em linhas centrais, pode-se dizer que a IECLB, nesse "novo local", teve um rosto diferente daquele tradicionalmente conhecido. Concretamente, ela procurou acompanhar seus membros de forma integral, ou seja, espiritual, política, social e economicamente.

Abstract

This dissertation is of historical character as it describes the occupation and colonization of the State of Rondônia and IECLB's accompaniment of the migrants in this region. It covers de years of 1967 to 1987. The former date marks the migration of the first Lutherans to this State. The latter date, on the other hand, marks the year in which the ecclesiastical structure of this region gains a similar status as the other regions, and comes to be calleed DERN (Distrito Eclesiástico Regional Noroeste – the Northwest Regional Ecclesiastical District).
The dissertation is divided into two chapters. The first one deals with the Brazilian migratory process to Amazônia, analyzing the specific case of the Pomeranians from Espírito Santo. The central thesis of this chapter is: the migrants are objects and protagonists of the migratory process. The second chapter talks about the role played out by IECLB in this State. It can be said, as the main theme, that IECLB, in this "new place" had a very different face than the one traditionally known. Concretely, it sought to acccompany its members in a holistic way, that is, spiritually, politically, socially and economically.
