Resumo

A presente tese estuda a relação entre fé cristã e bem-estar, entre Igreja e políticas sociais. Especificamente. reflete sobre a integração dos serviços de assistência social prestados pela Igreja Cristã, especialmente, pela Igreja Evangélica de Confissão Luterana no Brasil (IECLB) na rede pública de Assistência Social. Este procedimento pressupõe a assimilação da prerrogativa constitucional, isto é, da lei orgânica da Assistência Social (LOAS), que assegura ser a Assistência Social direito do cidadão e da cidadã e dever do Estado e da sociedade civil. Neste sentido, a tese busca destacar a necessidade da prática do controle público, tanto sobre os projetos e programas de assistência social organizados pela sociedade civil, dentre esta, a Igreja, quanto pelo Estado. A LOAS, a Teologia Luterana, o Feminismo e a Ciência Política são o aporte a partir do qual a autora busca contribuir com a consolidação da Assistência Social como direito de cidadania e com a prática do controle público sobre a prestação de serviços de Assistência Social.

Abstract

This present thesis shows the relationship between the Christian faith and the well being, between the Church and the social politics. It shows specifically the integration of the services of social attendance, which is given by the Christian Church, especially, by the Evangelical Church of the Lutheran Confession in Brazil (IECLB) in the public net of the Social Attendance. This procedure presupposes the assimilation of the constitutional prerogative, that is, of the Organic Law of the Social Attendance (LOAS), that assures to be the Social Attendance the citizen's social right and a duty of the State and of the civil society. In this sense, the thesis tries to point out the need of the practice of the public control, either on the projects and/or the programs of social attendance, which are organized by the civil society, among them, the Church, as for the State. LOAS, the Lutheran Theology, the Feminism and the Political Science are the contribution from which the author tries to contribute with the consolidation of the Social attendance as a citizenship right and with the practice of the public control in the services of the Social Attendance.
